The Charlotte-DeSoto Building Industry Association (CDBIA) is proud to host the nationally award-winning Show Me the License Home Building & Remodeling Show on September 25-26, 2026, at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds. This free, family-friendly event brings together the area's most trusted licensed contractors, builders, remodelers, suppliers, and home service professionals, making it the perfect place for homeowners to connect with experts for every stage of their home improvement journey. Attendees can explore contractor exhibits, watch live demonstrations, attend educational panel discussions, discover the latest products and trends, and enjoy interactive experiences including the High School Student BUILD Challenge, Touch-a-Truck, Kid Zone activities, food trucks, giveaways, and more. Highlights of the event include: Live Demonstrations showcasing building and remodeling techniques. Educational Sessions led by industry leaders on how to hire and verify licensed contractors. Hourly Prizes for attendees throughout the day. Kid Zone hosted by Lowe’s, where children can construct their own projects. High School Student Construction Challenge from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., spotlighting the next generation of skilled trades.
