Michael Gunderson is the 2025 CDBIA Young Professional of the Year.

Michael Gunderson, Florida Engineering, is a lifelong resident of Punta Gorda.

On top of working full time and being a student at Indiana University online, where he is working on his undergraduate degree in business, he managed to help grow the love of the building industry, speaking with students at the Boys and Girls Club, and co-chairing the NextGen Council Miami Vice takes on the Waves Cruise. This year, he was voted in by his peers to be the Chair of the Next Gen Council for 2026 and we look forward to Michael’s continued leadership.
